Format Magazine is an online art and design publication produced by Format. From 2016-2017 I worked closely with Format's head of content in an editorial assistant capacity to create, edit, and curate content for the magazine.
In 2018 I took on the role of head editor, managing a remote team of freelance writers and other contributors located in Canada, the United States, and Europe, and publishing several articles per week.
Community management was also a key aspect of my role. I created a weekly newsletter that went out to over 160,000 subscribers and managed editorial content distribution across social channels including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Ello.
In 2018, a colleague and I launched Format Picks, a monthly art contest on Format Magazine.
In the time I worked at Format, monthly views of the magazine averaged around 100,000 to 150,000.
Photo essays I published as an editor were highlighted more than once on BuzzFeed's roundup of the most powerful photo stories from across the internet. Format Magazine was also selected by Apple to appear in an advertisement for Safari.

As a freelancer, wrote various SEO-focused articles for cannabis platform Lift & Co.'s online magazine.
Wrote this article for a Format partnership with Newspaper Club, a UK-based online printing service. Also worked with them to sponsor a Format contest and publish content from them on Format Magazine.

Assisted with this Format partnership with Polaroid Originals, including an article published on Polaroid Originals' magazine and an Instagram contest. I facilitated the @useformat side of the contest. In all there were over 3,000 entries and Format gained hundreds of new followers.
